The aims of this Special Issue cover the important issues of development of cognitive and metacognitive skills and competencies in learning and upbringing of the modern youth. The issues of proper and relevant youth education have been constantly arising and this Special Issues covers the topics connected with the perspectives for progressive youth education development in the nearest and distant future. The aims are met via consideration of various viewpoints and prospectives of the authors from different countries for the issue of youth cognitive and metacognitive development in learning and everyday activities of youth in modern conditions in the world.
This Special Issue brings a new fresh scientific look at the issues of youth education, cognitive and metacognitive development and upbringing in the modern world. Nowadays, we consider a person to be the highest value, therefore this issue supports this humanistic approach to youth education and upbringing and emphasises the necessity of new approaches in new social and cultural environment. Some important challenges are discovered and the scientific articles distinguish ways to overcome them.
